The Jan. 22 Show Me Plants Book Club is being postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. at Neighborhood Reads due to the impending inclement weather. If you haven't yet picked up the book, you now have time to read it! Stop by or call the book store and order your copy! Stay safe this evening and we'll see you on the 12th!  


Show Me Plants Book Club is an extension of the Show Me Plants PlantPure Communities Pod. We'll meet every other month to discuss a common book related to the whole food plant-based lifestyle. This month's book is A Plant Based Life: Your Complete Guide to Great Food, Radiant Health, and Boundless Energy  by Micaela Cook Karlsen. Show Me Plants Monthly Get-Together

 Please join us for the Show Me Plants November Monthly Get-Together and share a discussion about how to prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday. We'll share tips and tricks about how to navigate dining at family and friends' homes while eating a whole food plant-based diet and what to do if you're the one hosting the holiday meal. We'll also share with you some great recipes sure to please even the pickiest Thanksgiving crowd. If you have a WFPB recipe that you plan to use for your Thanksgiving feast, please bring copies of it to share with the group. This month's meeting will be at the Union branch of Scenic Regional Library located at 251 Union Plaza Drive in Union, MO, at 6 p.m., Monday, November 18. We'll finish at 7:30 p.m. This month's event will not be a potluck but light refreshments will be provided. Please bring a refillable water bottle. Please invite a friend and share this event email.  After a two-month summer hiatus, we are ready to gather once gain and share information and offer support for those interested in and pursuing a whole food plant-based no oil lifestyle. Please join us from 10 a.m.- noon this Saturday, Sept. 21. Bring a refillable water bottle and a whole food plant-based dish to pass. See Kara's website at beboldeatplants.com for websites you can visit to find compliant WFPBNO recipes. But if you are unable to bring a dish to pass, please DO still join us. There is always plenty to share. All are welcome; invite a plant curious friend. This month we'll hear from a Pod member who recently completed STL Veg Girl's seven week Forks Over Knives Community Class and we'll continue learning more about this evidence-based lifestyle proven to improve, if not reverse, many diseases and promote weight loss with just real food.
